Das MTC Power Board ist ein Erweiterungsplatine für die universell einsetzbare MIDI-Steuerelektronik MTC64. Es ermöglicht die Ansteuerung von bis zu sechzehn 230V/115V Verbrauchern über das MTC64. Hiermit können beispielsweise Lampen oder andere Verbraucher mit 230V oder 115V Netzspannung über MIDI-Notenbefehle geschaltet werden.

Hier die wichtigsten Eigenschaften:

• 16 Leistungsausgänge 230V (oder 115V)

• pro Ausgang maximal 2A (dies entspricht ca. 460 Watt bei 230V)

• insgesamt jedoch maximal 16 A möglich, d.h. 1A pro Ausgang (= 230Watt bei 230V) bei gleicher Auslastung aller Ausgänge, oder 2A pro Ausgang bei Verwendung von nur 8 Ausgängen

• Nulldurchgangsschalter zur Reduzierung von Netzstörungen

• Eigene Sicherung für jeden Ausgang

• Netz- und Lastanschlüsse über 2-polige Schraubklemmen

• maximal 4 der MTC Power Boards können an eine MTC64-Basisplatine angeschlossen werden (d.h. maximal 64 geschaltete Netzspannungen)

• Abmessungen der Leiterplatte ca. 78 x 178 mm

• Die Verbindung zwischen der bzw. den MTC Power Boards und der MTC64-Basisplatine erfolgt mit einem 10-poligen Flachbandkabel, das von der Basisplatine zu allen Power Boards führt, und jeweils einem 16-poligen Flachbandkabel, das von der Basisplatine zu dem jeweiligen Power Board führt. Bitte geben Sie an, wie viele Power Boards mit der Basisplatine verbunden werden sollen (wegen der Länge des 10-poligen Kabels und der Anzahl der aufgepressten Steckverbindern)

• Die Flachbandkabel sind im Preis des Power Boards enthalten, nicht jedoch die für Verdrahtung der Verbraucher und des Netzanschlusses benötigten Kabel.

• Auf der Basisplatine müssen ggf. die ICs vom Typ CD4094 gegen 74HC4094 ausgetauscht werden (gilt nur im Falle von Verwendung von bereits vorhandenen, älteren MTC64-Basisplatinen aus der Produktion vor 2005, bei Bestellung von MTC Power Boards zusammen mit MTC64-Basisplatinen sind diese natürlich bereits mit 74HC4094 ausgerüstet)

The MTC Power Board is an expansion board for the universal MIDI control electronics MTC64. It is used to switch mains voltages (230V/115V) to drive mains voltage devices. For example lamps or other mains loads can be controlled by MIDI note on/off messages.

These are the most important features:

• 16 power outputs 115V or 230V

• max. 2A for each output (i.e. 460 Watt/VA @ 230V resp. 230Watt/VA @ 115V)

• max. total load for all outputs 16 A, i.e. 1A for each ouput in case of equal loads for all outputs (= 115 Watt/VA @ 115V resp. 230Watt/VA @ 230V)

• zero crossing switches to reduce mains interferences

• separate fuse for each output

• mains and load connections via screw terminals

• up to four MTC power boards can be connected to one MTC64 main board

• pc board dimensions: about 78 x 178 mm

• connection between MTC power boards and MTC64 main board via one 10 pin ribbon cable leading from the main board to all power boards, and a 16 pin ribbon cable between main board and power board (one for each power board). Please specify how many power boards have to be connected to the main board (because of the lenght and number of female connectors of the 10 pin ribbon cable)

• ribbon cables are included with the power board, cables for mains and loads connection are not included

• On the main board the integrated circuits labelled CD4094 have to be replaced by 74HC4094 (valid only if an already existing older main board manufactured before 2005 is used, in case of new orders of main boards in combination with power boards the main boards are already equipped with 74HC4094)

Der Einbau und die Verdrahtung des MTC Power Boards darf auf Grund der vorkommenden Netzspannung nur von einem Fachmann durchgeführt werden. Nicht entsprechend ausgebildete Personen dürfen das  MTC Power Board nicht in Betrieb nehmen. Es besteht Lebensgefahr ! Vor Inbetriebnahme muss die Einbau-Anleitung sorgfältig studiert und alle Hinweise genau beachtet werden. Der gesamte Aufbau berührungssicher in ein Gehäuse eingebaut werden. 

Installation and wiring of the MTC power board has to be carried out by qualified personnel only because of electrical safety (dangerous mains voltage 115V / 230V). Not qualified personell is not allowed to install and run the MTC power board !  DANGER TO LIFE ! The user has to read the installation manual carefully and follow all instructions in the manual meticulously ! The complete construction has to be mounted into an isolating case before the mains voltage is applied.
