A179

Modul zur Umwandlung unterschiedlicher Beleuchtungsstärken in eine variable Steuerspannung und ein daraus abgeleitetes Gate-Signal. Ein Lichtsensor (lichtempfindlicher Widerstand / LDR) wandelt die eintreffende Beleuchtungsstärke in eine entsprechende analoge Steuerspannung um. Der Sensor (int. LDR) befindet sich an der Frontplatte des Moduls, alternativ kann jedoch über eine Schaltbuchse an der Frontplatte (ext. LDR) ein weiter entfernter Sensor über ein Kabel angeschlossen werden. Das Modul A-179 arbeitet somit ähnlich dem Theremin-Modul A-178, jedoch wird beim Theremin der Abstand zwischen Hand und Antenne als steuerndes Element verwendet.

  • Eingänge: ext. Sensor

  • Ausgänge: CV (normal), CV (invertiert), Gate

  • Bedienungs-Elemente (Drehregler): CV-Offset (Einstellung von 0V CV für die gewünschte Beleuchtungsstärek), Gate-Threshold (Schwelle, ab der Gate ausgelöst wird)

  • Anzeige-Elemente: je 2 LEDs für CV und CV invertiert (getrennt für positiv/negativ) und 1 LED für Gate

Anwendungen:

  • Steuerung beliebiger analoger Parameter im A-100 durch Licht (z.B. Tonhöhe mit VCO A-110, Lautstärke mit VCA A-130/131/132, Panorama mit A-134, Filterungen mit A-120/121/122/123, Phasing mit A-125, Frequenz-Verschiebung mit A-126, Hüllkurven-Parameter mit A-141/142, Tempo über A-147). Passive Steuerung durch Abschattung per Hand oder Körper, aktive Steuerung durch Einsatz von Beleuchtungselemente (Taschenlampe, Laser etc.)
  • Auslösen bestimmter A-100 Funktionen durch Gate-Funktion mit einstellbarer Schwelle, z.B. Starten einer Hüllkurve (A-140/141/142), Start/Stop-Funktionen von Sequenzer, beliebige Umschaltfunktionen mit A-150/151.
  • Umwandlung im MIDI-Controller-Befehle mit Hilfe des A-192 möglich

A179

Module for converting different illumination intensities into corresponding analog voltage and a gate signal derived from the analog voltage. A sensor converts the illumination of the internal light sensor (light sensitive resistor / LDR) into a corresponding analog control voltage. The internal sensor is located at the front panel (int. LDR) of the module but a remote sensor may be connected via cable to the module (jack: ext. LDR). Thus the module A-179 is similar to the Theremin module A-178 but uses the illumination intensity instead of the distance between hand and antenna for generating the analog voltage.

  • Inputs: ext. sensor

  • Outputs: normal CV, inverse CV, Gate

  • Controls: Offset voltage (for adjusting the CV to 0V for the desired illumination), Gate threshold

  • Displays: 2 LEDs for CV (positive/negative), 2 LEDs for inverse CV (positive/negative), 1 LED for Gate

Applications:

  • controlling any voltage controlled parameter of the A-100, e.g. pitch or pulswidth (VCO A-110), loudness (VCA A-130/131/132), panorama (A-134), filter frequency or resonance (A-120/121/122/123), phasing (A-125), frequency shift (A-126), resonance peaks (A-127), envelope parameters (A-141/142), tempo (A-147), passive control by covering/shading the sensor via hand or body, active control by using pocket lamp/flashlight/laser.
  • triggering of A-100 activities via gate with adjustable threshold, e.g. starting an envelope (A-140/141/142), Start/Stop of a sequence (A-155), any switching function (A-150/151)
  • Conversion into MIDI control change messages is possible with the A-192.
