A-121 Multimode Filter (VCF2)

Das Modul A-121 ist ein spannungsgesteuertes Multi-Mode-Filter mit einer Flankensteilheit von -12 dB / Oktave. Vier Filterausgänge mit unterschiedlichen Filtercharakteristiken stehen gleichzeitig zur Verfügung: Tiefpass (engl. low pass), Bandpass (engl. band pass), Hochpass (engl. high pass) und Bandsperre (engl. notch). Die Cut-Off-Frequenz (Eckfrequenz) bestimmt dabei den Punkt, ab der der jeweilige Filtereffekt auftritt. Sie können diese sowohl manuell als auch per Steuerspannungen einstellen bzw. modulieren (Filtermodu-lation, z.B. mit einem LFO oder ADSR). Dazu stehen Ihnen zwei CV-Eingänge zur Verfügung, wobei die anliegenden Steuerspannungen kaskadiert (aufsummiert) werden.
Die Resonanz (Emphasis) Q ist beim VCF 2 manuell und per Steuerspannung (spannungssteuerbare Resonanz, VCQ) einstellbar bis hin zur Selbstoszillation. In diesem Fall arbeitet das Filter als Sinusoszillator.

Das A-106-6 XP VCF ist ein anderes Multimode-Filter, das wesentlich mehr verschiedene Filterausgänge zum gleichen Preis bietet. In den A-100 Basissystemen 1 und 2 wird das A-121 ab Sommer 2009 durch das XP-Filter A-106-6 ersetzt.
Ein Multimode-Filter mit Morphing-Funktion (d.h. stufenloses Überblenden zwischen verschiedenen Filtertypen) ist das A-107 Multitype Morphing Filter.

Da der im A-121 verwendete Spezial-IC CEM3320 nicht mehr lieferbar ist, muss die Produktion dieses Moduls leider eingestellt werden. Verkauf solange Vorrat reicht ! 

Module A-121 is a voltage-controlled multi-mode filter with a cut-off slope of -12 dB / octave.
Four simultaneous outputs are available, each with different characteristics: low-pass, band-pass, high-pass and notch (or band reject).
The cut-off frequency determines the point at which the respective filter effects appear. The frequency can be adjusted manually, or by voltage control (Filter modulation, for instance by an LFO or ADSR). Two CV inputs are available, whose control voltages are summed.
Resonance (Emphasis or Q ) can be adjusted manually, or by voltage control (voltage-controlled resonance / VCQ), right up to self-oscillation, in which case it will behave like a sine wave oscillator.

Module A-106-6 XP VCF is another multimode filter that offers much more filter outputs at the same price. In the A-100 basic systems 1 and 2 the A-121 will be replaced by the A-106-6 during summer 2009.
A multimode filter with morphing feature (i.e. continuous crossfading between different filter types) is the A-107 Multitype Morphing Filter.

As the special circuit CEM3320 used in this module is no longer available the module has to be discontinued. Sale while stocks last !
