Other types of keyboards, keyboards with
monophonic after touch or weighted keys are
available only as special orders.
Please look at the manufacturers website www.fatar.com
which keyboards are available. The prices of the currently available
keyboards are available here: Prices_Keybeds.pdf. We ask for your understanding that we
are not able to offer consultation and service for keyboards we do not
use in our products (e.g. feeling, measures, weight, schematics) as we
only know the specifications that are available at the manufacturers
website
www.fatar.com. Unfortunately not all types of
keyboards shown on their website are always available but only if they
are currently in production or in stock. The minimum delivery time is about 8-12 weeks as we
normally add these special orders to regular keyboard consignments to
keep the additional shipment charges as low as possible. Please
contact our sales office for details (sales@doepfer.de).
We also expect a down payment
of at least 50%.
Pay attention that it is not
possible to return specially ordered keyboards and that there will be no service
from us in the future for these keyboards (e.g. no spare parts like keys,
springs, contacts, weights) as we do not have these keyboards as regular products
available ! We only offer to order the keyboards for you as Fatar does
not sell to end users.
The left picture shows a
combination of three church organ keybeds TP/60 with 61 keys
each, mounted together with suitable accessories
(so-called "chassy"). Each keybed can be
equipped with the MKE electronics to
obtain a multi-manual church organ Midi keyboard. The chassy
shown in the picture is suitable only for the classical
TP/60 organ keybed series (TP/60L, TP/60LF, TP/60LW,
TP/62LW, TP/63LW, TP/64LW and TP/60LWR). For all other
versions of keybeds (e.g. TP/6, TP/7, TP/8, TP/9 or TP10) the chassy
cannot be used. Two types of chassy are available:
the lower chassy for all lower keybeds and the upper
chassy for the uppermost keybed. For the assembly
shown in the picture altogether four lower chassy
and two upper chassy are necessary. |

Modulation Wheel kit: contains a
special rotary potentiometer (10k linear) with nut and washer, the
modulation wheel made of black plastic, a mouting angle, rubber buffer
(for a soft touch of the wheel against the angle) and a fetch-back
spring that can be used (e.g. for pitch band) or not (e.g. for
modulation or volume control). Available as kit only and has to be
assembled by the user.
dimensions:
overall: ~ 67 x 33 x 63 mm (mounting angle, wheel and
potentiometer)
only the mounting angle: ~ 53 x 20 x 40 mm (without wheel and
potentiometer)
diameter of the wheel: ~ 67 mm
width of the wheel: ~ 10 mm
distance of the mounting holes of the mounting angle: ~ 32 mm
Technical remarks: Pay attention that not the full
rotating angle of the potentiometer is covered but only about 40%.
If the end terminals of the potentiometer are e.g. connected to
GND and +5V only a voltange range 0...+1.6V is covered !
Especially for DIY/OEM applications one has to pay attention to
the limited rotating angle. The electronics of our keyboards (LMK2+,
LMK4+) and the DIY/OEM electronics MKE
and Wheel Electronic take into consideration this special quality. The modulation
wheel can be combined with these electronics: Wheel
Electronic, LMK2+, LMK4+,
MKE
Here you find the construction notes for the modulation wheel
kit: Modulation_Wheel_kit.pdf
The valid price can be found in the

Modulation Wheel Set: contains a
special rotary potentiometer (10k linear) with nut and washer, the
modulation wheel made of black plastic, a mouting angle, rubber buffer
(for a soft touch of the wheel against the angle) and a fetch-back
spring that can be used (e.g. for pitch band) or not (e.g. for
modulation or volume control). Available as kit only and has to be
assembled by the user.
dimensions:
overall: ~ 89 x 76 x 64 mm (including wheels)
only the black box: ~ 89 x 76 x 45 mm (without wheels)
diameter of the wheels: ~ 67 mm
width of the wheel: ~ 15 mm
grid of the mounting holes: ~ 72 x 61 mm
Technical remarks: Pay attention that not the full
rotating angle of the potentiometer is covered but only about 40%.
If the end terminals of the potentiometer are e.g. connected to
GND and +5V only a voltange range 0...+1.6V is covered ! In
addition the two potentiometers work in the
opposite direction as one is mounted from the left and the other
from right side to the wheel !
Especially for DIY/OEM applications one has to pay attention to
these special features. So far the modulation wheel set is not
used in any of our products. In particular
it cannot be used in
combination with the electronics of LMK2+, LMK4+
and the DIY/OEM electronics MKE. But the
modulation wheel set can be combined with Wheel
Electronic.

Joy Stick I: same as used in
the A-174 module (2 x 20k linear). The axis is equipped with a M3
thread that can be used to screw a suitable lever with M3 thread to
the axis.
dimensions:
overall: ~ 41 x 41 x 36 mm (including lever and potentiometers)
only the black box: ~ 30 x 30 x
25 mm (without lever and potentiometers)
grid of the mounting holes: ~ 24 x 24 mm
manufacturer: ALPS
The joy stick potentiometers cover
the complete rotation angle. If the end terminals of the
potentiometers are e.g. connected to GND and +5V the full voltange
range 0...+5V is covered !
The
joy stick is spring-loaded,
i.e. the lever returns back to the
neutral position as soon as it is released.
If the spring is removed for one or
both directions
(e.g. by means of a side cutter) the
joy stick is no longer spring-loaded for this
direction(s). But
as the spring has to be destroyed
during the removal this cannot be re-established
!
The valid price can be found in the
price list
in the accessories section.
Joy stick I can be combined e.g.
with Wheel Electronic or Pocket
Electronic.
The picture shows the joy stick
with the additionally available aluminium lever. The aluminium
lever is not included but has to be ordered separately (additional
price). |

 |
Joy-Stick II: This is another
type of
joy-stick with two 10k linear potentiometers.
The joy-stick is equipped with a 4 pin cable and a 4 pin female
connector (1/10" pitch). The end-terminals of the two
potentiometers are connected (consequently only a 4 pin cable is
required). If the wires are nipped off the connection between the
potentiometers can be interrupted. dimensions:
overall: ~ 72 x 60 x 66 mm (including lever and potentiometers)
diameter of the inner ball: ~ 50 mm
length of the lever (measured from the ball surface): ~ 17
mm
cross section of the lever: ~ 6 x 6 mm
grid of the mounting holes: ~ 42 x 48 mm manufacturer:
Fatar
Technical remarks: Pay attention that not the full
rotating angle of the potentiometers is covered but only about
40%.
If the end terminals of the potentiometer are e.g. connected to
GND and +5V only a voltange range of about +1.5 ... 3.5 V is covered
(a bit different for different specimens) ! So far we have no Midi
electronics available that can be used in combination with joy
stick II. The
joy stick is spring-loaded,
i.e. the lever returns back to the
neutral position as soon as it is released. One of the spring can
be removed very easily by nipping the spring with a side cutting
pliers. The second spring is hidden inside the joy stick.

Position Sensor:
Same as used in
R2M resp. A-198. A linear position sensor from the industrial sector.
Measures: about 575 x 22 x 0.5 mm. Usable length about 50
cm. Works like a normal fader potentiometer but the wiper is lifted off as
long as the sensor is not touched. As soon as the sensor is touched
the wiper is connected to the resistance track and can now be treated
like a normal linear potentiometer. The sensor has a self-adhesive
base and a 3 pin connector (same functions as a potentiometer). The
resistance of the sensor is about 12,5 kOhm (+/- 20%). The
position sensor cannot be shortened and is available only in this
length. Changing the production for another length would cause
high costs as new tools would be necessary. For measures beyond 50
cm even new machines would we required that are able to process
larger workpieces.
The valid price can be
found in the price list
in the accessories section.

|
Pressure Sensor
(new version): Same as used in
the new versions of R2M resp. A-198. A pressure position sensor
from the industrial sector. Measures: about 610 x 15 x 0,35 mm. Usable length about
60 cm. It
has a self-adhesive
base and a 2 pin connector. The
sensor reduces it's resistance while the pressure increases: from
more than 1MOhm without pressure to about 1-2 kOhm at moderate
pressure and down to a few hundret Ohm at high pressure, but the
high pressure range is not meaningful for musical applications.
The pressure sensor can be cutted off to any length.
The valid price can be
found in the price list
in the accessories section.
|
|
|
Pressure Sensor
(old version): Same as used in the old versions of R2M resp. A-198. A conductive rubber (about 245 x 13 x 1 mm)
that reduces it's resistance while the pressure increases. The rubber
can be assembled between two conducting surfaces (e.g. pc boards) to
measure the variable resistance.
For the complete length of the R2M resp. A-198 manual 2-3 of these
sensors are required.
The valid price can be
found in the price list
in the accessories section.

Spring reverb system: The
system is made of three separate springs with transmitter and
receiver to obtain a very "dense" reverb sound. The
system has an additional spring suspension to avoid undesired
sounds caused by (small) bounces against the case. Connections via
standard cinch/RCA female connectors. The system is used in the
spring reverb module A-199.
dimensions: about 180 x 51 x
33 mm
spring length: about 80 mm
input resistance: typ. 190 Ohm
output resistance: typ. 2500 Ohm
The valid price can be
found in the price list
in the accessories section.
