The
A-100 basic frame with 6HU is available even as a portable 6 HU suitcase version
without additional charges. The portable 6
HU suitcase version
has the same usable space available as the normal basic frame (i.e. 2 x
84 HP).
Version 2: In this version the mains inlet is located at the rear panel and the usable width is 84HP for both rows. The disadvantage of version 2 is that the mains inlet is no longer protected during transportation (e.g. against mechanical damage or mud and moisture) and that it can be used only in vertical position because of the mains inlet at the rear side. The advantage is the full width for both rows and the missing mains inlet at the front.
Inside the removable cover there is sufficient space for both versions to carry the system completely patched or to move patch chords and the power cable. The A-100 suitcase can be used vertical or horizontal as the suitcase has rubber feets on the bottom and rear side (version 2 only vertical because of the mains inlet at the rear panel). The top is equipped with a handle. The A-100 suitcase is made of
black The two bus boards and the standard power supply are mounted at the rear panel. Consequently the rear panel cannot be removed. The upper picture shows an example that includes 2 Theremin modules A-178 and the Analog/Trigger Sequencer A-155 (among others). The lower picture shows an empty A-100 suitcase version 2 with built-in power supply II (toroid/ring-core transformer, 1200mA). The A-100 suitcases can be used to built in the A-100 Basic System 1 and 2. Please specify in your order if you want to have one of these systems built into a suitcase.Even the A-100 mini
system can be built into the A-100 suitcase (additional charges = price
difference between the A-100 basic frames 3HU and 6HU). In this case the
lower half of the suitcase has to be filled with blind panels or modules
that are not included in the mini system. Measures: Weight (without modules): about 7 kg Electrical
specifications: In the area near the power supply (bottom right) no modules should be assembled that are sensitive against transformer hum. We recommend to assemble only control voltage modules in this area (e.g. LFO, ADSR, trigger delay, clock divider/sequencer, sequencer, slew limiter, MIDI interfaces and so on) but no audio modules (VCO, VCF, VCA, VCP, frequency shifter, ring modulator, spring reverb and so on). Even modules width increased depth (e.g. A-113 or A-126) cannot be assembled in the power supply area. They have to be placed in a position outside the power supply area. But this applies only for a few modules. Normally it is no problem to arrange all modules by mounting modules with smaller depth in the power supply area. black versions: stock

A-100 Suitcase Versions 9U (A-100P9) |

an enlarged version of the A-100 suitcase with 9 U or three rows of
modules. As only one power supply is required this is the most economic
version of the A-100 suitcase. Apart from that the 9U version is
identical to the 6U version. Measures: Weight (without modules): about 8,3 kg Electrical

A-100 Low Cost Case 6U (A-100LC6) |
|
|
|
This
is an economical version of the A-100 suitcase. It
is made very simple without front cover, without the metal rails and corners of
the suitcase version described above. In other respects the low cost
suitcase is identical to the suitcases described above (i.e. it includes
the A-100 PSU2 and two bus boards).
The case is made of raw wood without laquering. By default it's available with the mains inlet located at the rear panel (same as V2 of the standard suitcase). Versions with other positions of the mains inlet are available only upon request (additional charge and longer delivery time). The case can be varnished by the customer in any desired color e.g. by means of a spray can (like the pictures that shows a black and a blue varnished version). The price of the low cost suitcase is about 35% less than the standard suitcase. Measures: Weight (without modules): about 4 kg Electrical

Remark: The lower pictures show a black and blue varnished prototype with another type of threaded rails. The final version of the A-100 low cost case is manufactured with the same rails and threaded inserts as the standard A-100 frames and suitcases. |

| The A-100 Low
Cost Base has the same width as the A-100 Low Cost Cases (A-100LC6/LC9) and is planned as a base frame for the A-100
Low Cost Cases. But it can be used
also as a stand alone unit. One power supply (PSU2) and two bus boards are built in.
The A-100 Low Cost Base has two rows for modules available: one with horizontal alignment and another 45 degrees inclined row. The useable width is the same as for the Low Cost Cases, i.e. 84 HP. The bus boards are located in the rear area (even those for the modules that are mounted in the front row). This was necessary to take advantage of the full height of the front area for installation of A-100 modules. The max. depth for modules in the front row is ~70 mm. Measures: Weight: ~ ? kg (without modules) Electrical
specifications: available: July 2013 The price for the A-100LCB can be found in the price list in the A-100 section. |

A-100 Monster Cases 12U (A-100PMS12, A-100PMD12) |

|
As a special design the suitcase version
of the A-100 frame is available even in a
"monster" version with double width and height (168HP / 12HU).
It can be chosen between a single and double version of the monster
suitcase and even the monster cases are available in black or
grey.
For the double version the two suitcases are fixed together
face-to-face during transportation so that no covers are required (as for
the single version). Each monster suitcase is equipped with four power
supplies with toroid transfomer/1200mA. Pay attention that the monster
cases are special designs and no standard products we keep in stock. The
delivery time is about 4-6 weeks and there is no right to return
(concerning special designs please refer to our terms
of business).
Here are the details: Double version of the 12U/168HP A-100 monster case (A-100PMD12): outside dimensions

A-100 Monster Cases 6U and 9U (A-100PMS6, A-100PMS9) |
|||||||||||
| The monster cases
are available even with 6U and 9U. The
reason for these additional cases is that the 12U monster cases are a
bit difficult to handle by one person only. At least for the double
version A-100PMD12 two persons are necessary. On top of this it is
necessary to have available smaller versions of the monster cases when
they are mounted together as shown in the pictures on the left side
(because of stability and appearance - with a 6U case as upper element the construction looks not that
"intimidating").
The pictures show an assembly that consists of a monster base frame and two of the 9U single monster cases with a special connection support that enables an angled mounting of the upper case. The three components are fixed at the rear side by screw fittings to obtain stability and avoid overturning. For transportation the screw fittings can be released very fast so that each of the three components can be carried by one person only. The 6U monster case A-100PMS6 are equipped with two power supplies (A-100PSU2) and four bus boards, the 9U version A-100PMS9 with two power supplies (A-100PSU2) and six bus boards Single version of the 9U/168HP A-100 monster case with 9U/168HP (A-100PMS9): outside dimensions (with
front cover, closed state): ~ 90 (length) x 48 (height) x 23 (depth)

front cover, closed state): ~ 90 (length) x 35 (height) x 23 (depth)
